Vantilator (Philips Respironics V680)

Advanced invasive and noninvasive ventilation – Integrated ventilation without compromise

Now you can rely on a single ventilator to meet the changing therapeutic needs of a broad range of adult and pediatric patients.

Philips Respironics V680 ventilator is the frst to combine our best-in-class, single-limb NIV solution with a fully featured, dual-limb system designed to deliver advanced life support for critically ill patients in your ICU.

It’s fast and easy to switch from invasive to noninvasive ventilation to streamline transitions – at the same time delivering the right therapy at the right time, personalized to each patient. In fact, the V680 is the only ventilator to provide continuous measurements of dynamic resistance, compliance,
elastance, and plateau pressure in both single and dual-limb invasive and noninvasive modes.

Discover Philips Respironics V680, the simple, clinically advanced way to provide your patients with reliable, high-performance ventilation across the continuum of care without compromise

A balanced approach to ventilation

Many ICU ventilator manufacturers focus on developing invasive, life-supporting applications
frst. That could be in part because creating NIV systems is categorically more challenging due to the nature of dynamically changing leaks around the mask. With the Philips Respironics V680, advanced NIV technology is a primary focus that’s weighted equally with our invasive solutions. The result is a system that unites the premium performance of our V60 noninvasive ventilator with an invasive ventilator designed specifcally for critically ill ICU patients. You get the breath delivery and active exhalation you would expect from a critical care ventilator – without the hassle of switching between two machines.

Innovations in ventilation, ease of use, and comfort – Designed to help you provide exceptional ventilated care

Philips Respironics V680 includes a number of advanced technologies designed to simplify use, support uninterrupted invasive or noninvasive ventilation, and help reduce the incidence of unwanted
pressure spikes.

Unlike other systems that stop ventilating during expiratory limb occlusion or flow sensor failure, the V680 switches to Emergency Ventilation Mode, and sounds a high-priority alarm. In this mode the same
oxygen and ventilation settings are maintained through the inspiratory limb, buying critical seconds or minutes
for the patient until help arrives.

To make it easier for caregivers to hear high-priority alarms, the volume automatically escalates if there is no response within 40 seconds. During Emergency Ventilation Mode, the alarm sounds at maximum volume to immediately alert a caregiver.

An active exhalation valve also helps reduce sudden spikes associated with patients who fght
the ventilator or cough.

Built-in back-up

Philips Respironics V680 provides apnea backup ventilation for both invasive and noninvasive
spontaneous modes. And the system’s integrated four-hour backup battery supports uninterrupted care during power failures, and intra-hospital patient transport.

Fast to learn, easy to use

Philips Respironics V680 ventilator incorporates the same look, feel, and simple user interface as our gold standard Philips Respironics V60. So if you’re already familiar with the V60, you’ll quickly master the V680. Even frst-timers tell us it’s fast to learn and easy to use, right from the start.

Since all modes share a common interface and consistent operation, there’s no need to learn a new set of commands as you transition between invasive and noninvasive ventilation. Not only does this minimize staff training, but it may also help reduce errors and makes it simple to switch back and forth.

More comfortable for your patients

The V680 is also easy on your patients. In a recent study, Philips AutoTrak NIV technology was shown to deliver the highest level of ventilator synchrony,1 a quality directly linked to improved patient comfort and increased compliance.

Interface compliance is also a signifcant factor in successful noninvasive ventilation. Philips Respironics offers a wide range of masks to ft your adult and pediatric patients.

A four-hour standard, integral battery provides backup for prolonged power outages
and allows seamless transitions during intra-hospital transport.

Adapts to your patient

The V680 uses Auto-Trak technology to automatically adapt to the patient’s breathing pattern
and deliver a high level of synchrony during noninvasive therapy. A smart algorithm allows auto-adaptive leak compensation, inspiratory triggering, and expiratory cycling to deliver synchrony in the face of dynamic leak and changing patient demand.

Our new standard in integrated ventilation

High performance without the high cost

With Philips Respironics V680, one ventilator does it all, providing high performance ventilation in invasive and noninvasive modes at a fraction of the cost of two separate systems, lowering your capital expenses.

This advanced two-in-one platform includes a full complement of invasive and noninvasive modes, lung mechanics maneuvers, and comprehensive dynamic patient monitoring. Advances like these help to improve workflow and streamline care delivery to potentially reduce length of stay, make the most of your staff
resources, and lower costs.

Accelerate workflow, enhance patient care

Philips Respironics V680 bridges the gap between dedicated NIV and critical care life support. Our advanced ICU ventilator also offers our best-in-class NIV performance for your acute or sub-acute noninvasive ventilation needs. So you can quickly switch from IV to NIV modes to streamline workflow – with confdence.

Easy to maintain

The Philips Respironics V680 is designed to be reliable and easy to maintain, helping to accelerate patient throughput and lower the total cost of ownership. Ventilator turnaround time between patients
is less than three minutes, thanks to semi-automated, pre-use checks.

General maintenance can be performed in the hospital by your biomedical staff. A comprehensive, on-screen diagnostics menu accelerates both troubleshooting and routine service.

The V680 uses standard, low-cost, single-limb and duallimb circuits, and there is no need for costly proprietary flow sensors.

Automatic software upgrades* keep your ventilators up and running, so you’re always working with the latest technology. And since most of the replacement parts are common to the V60 ventilator, they’re readily available worldwide, reducing your need to inventory additional spare parts. You’ll have access to the parts you need, when you need them.

Make a smart choice

The Philips Respironics V680 is a smart choice for any healthcare organization looking to reduce capital expense and the total cost of ownership – while delivering quality patient care. And it’s an
easy choice for those who already use the Philips Respironics V60 noninvasive ventilator. Find out why this breakthrough two-in-one ventilator should be your choice.

Stay connected

The Philips Respironics V680 includes integrated patient monitoring and real-time alerts to keep you connected to your patients, so you can respond to their changing clinical conditions. The V680 works with Open Interface to support VueLink and IntelliBridge EC10 connectivity, giving you a direct pathway to your central station monitors and your hospital’s EMR/EHR system.
